What you can build

Gumloop describes itself as a no-code platform for AI agents. In practice, you give an agent a job (triage incoming email, enrich a lead list, draft a weekly summary), connect the tools it needs, and let it run on demand, on a schedule or from a trigger. Agents can live in Slack or Microsoft Teams, get their own email inbox, or be published on a hosted page.

The documentation lists several building blocks: Gumball, a personal agent; Brain, a company knowledge base; a code sandbox; an agent-controlled browser; evaluations; and approval steps with a human in the loop. Gumloop supports the Model Context Protocol, so you can connect custom MCP servers. The older block-based “workflows” are now labeled Legacy, as the product focuses on agents.

Who it is for

The target user is a non-technical team that wants AI-powered automation without running servers: think of an operations or marketing lead who knows their processes and tools inside out but does not want to write scripts. Developers get a Gumloop MCP server and a command-line interface too, but the visual interface remains the heart of the product.

Cost and lock-in

As of October 22, 2026, the Pro plan starts at $37 per month after a 14-day trial and includes 20,000 credits, with unlimited agents, seats and teams. Two things matter here. First, your real bill depends on usage: an agent that runs often burns through credits quickly. Second, the orchestration fee (8%, or 16% with your own model keys) comes on top of consumption. To budget, start from the number of tasks you expect each month rather than the entry price.

On lock-in, Gumloop works with models from several providers, which limits dependence on any single model vendor. The platform itself, however, is hosted-only and proprietary: your agents cannot simply be exported to another tool.

Strengths, limits and alternatives

Strengths: quick onboarding, deployment straight into team chat apps, and a choice of models. Limits: no self-hosting, a variable bill, and an agent format specific to Gumloop. The company does not publish an open-source license or source code.

If you want to host your automations yourself, look at n8n or Dify. For a similar approach aimed at business teams, Relevance AI is another option. Plan details are on the official page: gumloop.com/pricing.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a free version of Gumloop?

As of October 22, 2026, the pricing page offers a 14-day free trial, then the Pro plan starting at $37 per month. No permanent free plan is listed. Enterprise pricing is available on request.

How do Gumloop credits work?

The Pro plan includes 20,000 credits, each pegged at $0.005. Gumloop adds an 8% orchestration fee, which rises to 16% if you bring your own model keys. The more your agents run, the more credits they use.

Can I self-host Gumloop?

No. Gumloop is a hosted platform only. The Enterprise plan mentions a VPC option, but there is no version you can install on your own servers.

Which AI models does Gumloop support?

Gumloop gives access to models from several providers and accepts your own API keys. That avoids lock-in to a single model vendor, although your agents still live on Gumloop's platform.
